I see this as an adventurous thing to do, however, I am coming across more and more articles like this one. I am concerned about the lack of variety/pace and the boredom that could result. I do not want to replace workplace stress with ennui. Also as a pending early retiree, while I am not opposed to having social interaction with older people, I don’t want to constantly be ten years younger than 90% of people in the room. For this reason, I know I won’t be targeting a sleepy little beach town with a population of 10,000 or less. I want a city of at least 100,000 that has expats of a variety of ages, as well as locals with a rep of liking to interact with foreigners.
