That being said: The places I frequent are heavily populated with minority groups, most Asian and Middle Eastern people. I know this one girl whose ancestry is a mix of Puerto Rican and Afghani (sorry if I butchered the proper adjective for people who come from Afghanistan!), and hand to G-d, she could be a model or actress with little to no effort at all. I’d imagine that people of mixed ancestry are the best looking, what with getting genes for more than one place, but hey, just my opinion, right?

This is a very empty argument. Although I do not disagree that Brazil does not have the “hottest” women (and that’s because I don’t really believe there is a #1), please do NOT mix and match between mainstream media/culture (those Miss “Whatever” beauty pageants) with what you actually observe with your own eyes.

Here is the math. Let us assume that those winners are in fact the most “beautiful people in the world,” it could most definitely be offset by those countries having the most “ugliest” people in the world (no I definitely do not agree with this, just creating the logic here). Basically beauty pageants should not count because the sample size is ridiculously small. These gals are models, not exactly everyday people. I believe there are only some ten to one hundred thousand models in the U.S. And no, just relying on models is not really viable; they are NOT the only ones that matter.

Or wait, I am confused on how you wrote your article. Are you criticizing both the Black African beauty template/standard AND the author? Or you’re relating the template to the Author’s list and coming up with conclusions based on the logic flow?

If so (to the above), then yes, it is funny how our beauty standards (and I am referring to everyone’s) works.
