Happy Canada Day!

Canada Day

On this day in 1867, our snowy brethren up north achieved their unification, so we’d like to wish all Canadians, Canadian expats around the world, and aspiring Canadians– including all American travelers who deceptively claimed to be Canadian while abroad during the Bush years– a grand happy birthday!

There isn’t any particular tradition as to how to celebrate the day, but we suspect lots of drinking, BBQ and worklessness, and encourage all three. Cheers!

  1. Please, ‘Canada Day’ is so lame. It’s proper, non-politically correct name, is ‘Dominion Day’. You forgot football, CFL-style. But, of course drinking is paramount, eh!

  2. Go enjoy your pathetic ‘4th of July’ , a sad excuse to keep making yourselves fatter by stuffing your disgusting faces with all kinds of crap “foods” US corporations sell you by brainwashing your weak American minds. You seem to enjoy stereotyping people yet you don’t realize the problems in your country and are completely ignorant to the rest of the world. BTW I have a right to say this because I have lived in the US for almost 5 years, think I’ve experienced enough to understand what life is like down here. Think I’ll return to the real freedom pretty soon.

Oh, and you guys didn’t win the War of 1812 😉 you guys simply couldn’t face the fact you lost, like pretty much every war you’ve been involved in, and so you brainwash your own people (as usual, what a surprise) into thinking it was a “draw.”

Even one of your very own historians admits that Canada won – http://news.nationalpost.com/2011/11/27/canada-won-the-war-of-1812-u-s-historian-admits/
