This airport is located at the northeastern outskirts of the city of Denver. There is one main terminal, named Jeppensen Terminal, and three concourses, named A, B and C.

The airport has an interesting white tensile fiberglass roof that is supposed to resemble the Rocky Mountains. There is also a pedestrian bridge that links the terminal to Concourse A, and people can view the mountains from it. The airport has a solar energy project under construction. It also has prospective expansion plans to open a new runway, over 20 new gates and two more International Gates.

Denver International Airport (DEN) is extremely busy, and ranks 10th in the world for passenger traffic. There are many plans to expand almost all of the facilities. It offers flights to many different US locations, as well as to Canada, Costa Rica, Mexico and a couple destinations in Europe. It is a major hub for Frontier Airlines, United Airlines and Great Lakes Airlines. It is a focus city for Southwest Airlines as well. Other major airlines that service DEN include Continental, Delta and JetBlue.
