The OR Tambo International Airport serves the city of Johannesburg, and is located in Kempton Park. It has six terminals, which can be broken down into the international, domestic and transit sections. It used to be called the Johannesburg International Airport.

The Cape Town International Airport is located on the outskirts of the city, and is the only airport to serve the entire metropolitan area of Cape Town with scheduled passenger services. There is one central terminal that has 10 air bridges, which are split into domestic and international flights.
