I am English by birth and am presently residing in England. I am also a qualified electrician with a relatively sound financial status. Two questions a) What are the restrictions on landownership (in Belarus a foreigner is allowed to own a building but not the freehold of residential land, which generally restricts one to a flat, apartment or leased accomodation), b) I understand that I may only initially obtain a 90 day visa unless i apply for a temporary residence permit, is that going to affect my purchasing of a house- I was thinking of working in Lithuania (probably as an electrician) and eventually retiring.
