Travelers who are looking for cheap flights to Prague, Czech Republic, can easily get into this city through the Prague Ruzyně Airport. The airport is located west of the city center. It is has four terminals, numbered 1-4. Passengers will likely fly into the North Terminals, 1 and 2, which are divided into Schengen and non-Schengen zones, respectively.

The Prague Ruzyně Airport (PRG)is a modern, developed international airport that offers amenities like restaurants, cafes, VIP lounges, conference rooms, travel agencies, a post office. After passengers go through Passport Control, they can find out information from the tourist information desks, where the staff speaks Czech, German and English. They operate 24 hours a day, and offer free city maps. There are money exchange services for cash, but it is much cheaper to take out money from the airport’s ATMs.

The Prague Ruzyně Airport is a very busy airport, that gets busier every year. It has reached its limit for capacity, and airport authorities are considering further development. Most of the airplanes go to and from other destinations in Europe, but some airlines offer intercontinental services. The main airline at PRG is Czech Airlines, which goes to many European and international locations. Some other major airlines that operate at PRG include: Delta, Smart Wings, easyJet and Wizz Air. Many airlines at PRG operate to and from a single destination.

Distance to the city: 20 km (12.4 miles)

Bus to city

  • Fare: $1.43 (26 Kč)
  • Passengers must take the bus line #119, to the metro station Dejvicka in Prague 6, which will take them on the green line into the city center. It takes approximately 40 minutes, and can be confusing if you are not familiar with the city. Passengers should buy a ticket from the Public Transit Information booth, because it is cheaper than buying it on board from a driver (who likely does not speak languages other than Czech).

Taxi to city

  • Fare: Approximately $36 (650 Kč)
  • A taxi ride to the city center takes approximately 25-30 minutes. It is a good idea to have the name of your hotel written down, and its address.

There are some shuttle buses that go to and from PRG, and you must book them in advance. They cost fixed rates, which are approximately $31 (560 Kč) for up to 4 people.
